Billing Clerk

Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Billing Clerk in Compton, California. In this role, you will be a part of a team within the logistics and distribution industry, where you will be tasked with processing paperwork, communicating with drivers, and ensuring the clarity of paperwork.Responsibilities: Handle the billing process, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of customer credit applications Maintain and update customer credit records using accounting software systems Communicate with drivers to verify shipment orders and determine drive times Check returned shipment orders for correctness and make necessary adjustments Utilize software like Epic and About Time for various accounting functions and billing tasks Process post-shipment tickets and manage billing statements Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on billing collection Utilize Excel for basic to intermediate tasks such as filtering and sorting data Ensure the accuracy of project billing and progress billing within the distribution, logistics, or rental space.Requirements Entry-level position, no previous experience required Familiarity with Accounting Software Systems Knowledge of Computerized Billing Proficiency in using EHR SYSTEM Experience with Epic Software Familiarity with About Time software Understanding of Accounting Functions Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience in Billing procedures Proficiency in Billing Collection practices Ability to prepare Billing Statements Knowledge of Billing Systems Familiarity with Progress Billing procedures Experience in Project Billing Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
