Billing Specialist

Description We are currently seeking a meticulous and proactive Billing Specialist to join our finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to manage and optimize our billing processes.Position Overview:The Billing Specialist will be responsible for handling all aspects of the billing cycle, from generating invoices to managing customer accounts and ensuring timely collections. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:

Generate and issue accurate invoices to clients based on contracts and agreements.

Review billing data for accuracy and completeness, and make necessary corrections.

Manage and track billing schedules and ensure timely delivery of invoices.

Handle customer billing inquiries and resolve any discrepancies or issues.

Apply payments to customer accounts and reconcile accounts receivable transactions.

Maintain and update customer billing records and files.

Monitor outstanding accounts and follow up on overdue invoices.

Assist with the preparation of billing reports and financial statements.

Support month-end and year-end closing processes related to billing.

Requirements

Proven experience in billing or a similar financial role.

Strong understanding of billing processes, invoicing, and accounts receivable.

Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word).

Excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.

Strong communication skills and a customer-service-oriented approach.

Experience with [specific accounting software, if applicable] is a plus.

High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
