Billing Supervisor/Manager

Description 100% onsite role We offer an exciting opportunity for a Billing Supervisor/Manager in Santa Cruz, California. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the billing process in our professional services firm. This role involves ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency in generating and routing high-volume bills, maintaining accurate financial records, and being the primary point of contact for billing inquiries. Responsibilities: Oversee the entire billing process, from generating invoices to final distribution to clients Handle a high volume of billing transactions efficiently and effectively Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records Reconcile accounts and identify and resolve discrepancies Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements Serve as the primary point of contact for billing inquiries from clients Resolve client billing issues in a timely and professional manner Identify opportunities to streamline billing processes and implement improvements Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures Collaborate with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of the billing and accounting functions Provide support and guidance to junior staff as neededRequirements Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role or in a related field. Proven proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR), Bookkeeping, Billing, and QuickBooks is required. Should possess strong leadership skills with the ability to oversee and manage a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for communicating with clients and colleagues. Must have a thorough understanding of billing procedures and techniques. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines is crucial. Must be detail-oriented and possess strong analytical skills. Should have a strong understanding of financial regulations and legislation. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive financial information is required. Must possess problem-solving skills to identify issues and implement solutions. Knowledge of industry best practices and trends is desirable. A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
