Bookkeeper

Description We are offering a contract opportunity for a Bookkeeper in the Professional Services industry, based in San Diego, California. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for supporting general accounting functions, with a focus on accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. This role will require on-site presence.Responsibilities: Accurate and efficient processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable Managing payroll duties, ensuring all payments are processed in a timely manner Regular use of QuickBooks for a variety of bookkeeping tasks Performing account reconciliations and bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting Performing data entry tasks related to bookkeeping processes Utilizing Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting Ensuring the month-end close process is completed accurately and on time Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records Resolving any issues or discrepancies relating to financial records or payments. Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience in a bookkeeping role Proficient in account reconciliation and data entry tasks Demonstrated experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Familiarity with bank reconciliations and month-end close processes Proven skills in payroll management Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for financial tasks Experience in using QuickBooks for bookkeeping Must have excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proactive in identifying and resolving issues Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
