Description The Bookkeeper's responsibilities include managing and handling all aspects of our financial operations including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), bank reconciliations, recording journal entries, and carrying out month-end close duties. Roles and Responsibilities: Perform daily financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable and receivable data. Process bills, checks, receipts, and other documents. Ensure all payments are completed on time, including deposits and payroll. Execute bank and credit card reconciliations, ensuring all balances are correctly stated and all transactions have been recorded accurately. Prepare and input general ledger journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting. Monitor financial transactions and reports, constantly checking for accuracy. Conduct month-end and year-end close to guarantee that all financial data is accurate and complete. Manage subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries. Maintain historical financial records and ensure they are accurate and complete. Perform other related duties as required or as assigned. Qualifications: Proven bookkeeping experience with a solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, databases, and accounting software. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. AA degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred. Knowledge and competence with financial regulations and legislation. Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
