Description Robert Half is working in partnership with a non-profit organization seeking a capable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their team. This individual will play a crucial role in managing their day-to-day accounting and financial operations, helping them maintain their organization's financial stability and ensuring their mission's ongoing success. This onsite role is projected to start in early November 2024.In this role, the Bookkeeper will maintain financial records, conduct regular audits, and report on discrepancies. In addition, the candidate will have key responsibilities such as processing accounts payable and receivable, managing bank and general ledger reconciliations, as well as payroll processing. The candidate will also be expected to provide timely and accurate reporting of all financial data.Responsibilities:

Day to day financial transactions including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable and receivable.

Maintaining an up-to-date record of all financial transactions.

Reconciliation of bank, credit cards, and vendor statements.

Processing of payroll and employee benefits.

Preparation of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reports.

Ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting tasks.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. However, applicants with significant relevant work experience in non-profit bookkeeping will also be considered.

Non-profit bookkeeping experience is highly valued.

Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, Accounting Software (QuickBooks preferred).

Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Strong numerical skills; attention to detail is crucial.

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to work as part of a team are key.
