Description We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join our team in the education industry at our location in Orange, California. This role involves optimizing our PeopleSoft Finance and Human Capital Management systems through collaboration with business and IT stakeholders. Responsibilities: Lead projects from planning to support, ensuring successful implementation and resolution of issues Act as a subject matter expert for PeopleSoft Finance and HCM modules, particularly Payroll and Time & Labor Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document requirements, driving the development of system-specific solutions Minimize custom development through the design and implementation of optimized solutions Lead user testing initiatives and troubleshoot production issues to ensure system functionality Mentor entry level analysts, providing guidance and support to foster team development Identify process improvements and design best practices to enhance operational efficiency Create reports that effectively communicate data and findings Conduct user training sessions to ensure efficient use of systems Leverage skills in PeopleSoft, Accounts Payable (AP), Excel Formulas, Configuration Management Tools, Basic Troubleshooting, and Payroll to perform tasks and responsibilities effectively. Requirements Possess at least 5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst in the education or university industry Demonstrated expertise in PeopleSoft Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) Familiarity with Excel formulas and their application in business analysis Experience with Configuration Management Tools Ability to perform Basic Troubleshooting Experience in handling Payroll systems Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a team Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently Knowledge of current trends and developments in the field of business systems analysis.
