Job Description: The Sr. Metadata Specialist designs data modeling/analysis services used to mine enterprise systems and applications for knowledge and information that enhances business processes. This individual is also responsible for building, deploying, and maintaining data support tools, metadata inventories, and definitions for database file/table creation. Create architecture documents and diagrams.

Participates in project estimation and management.
Conduct data model and architecture reviews.
Provide guidance on ETL process.
Perform analysis and profiling.
Work on the creation DDLs, maintenance and optimization of database.
Enforce architecture standard and framework process.
Design/develop SQL Server queries.

This role sits within the DTC Content Ops & Client Relations team, with dotted line into and supporting the Central Metadata team within the organization. The CMT team is responsible for managing the metadata library to ensure the availability and quality of metadata for use across the business and for distribution to our own and affiliate platforms.

Working closely with Programming and Metadata teams across US, EMEA, Asia and LATAM you will be part of a team who are responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely entry of metadata into the systems to drive the content supply chain workflow. You will act as advisor on data structure, researching and analysing metadata to ensure data integrity and quality, and will manage the change control process for updates, working with legal and downstream system owners to ensure alignment of changes.

You will be responsible for analysing and reporting on the metadata database to identify gaps and work with relevant teams to enrich data in line with metadata governance standards, for use across all platforms and services, as well as supporting the de-duplication of data within the global workflows.

The role will work alongside operations, legal, programming and finance teams.

Experience:
3-5 years overall

Responsibilities:
Create title records within metadata system aligned to programming pipelines and contracts, ensuring integrity of data structure to enable the media supply chain.
Regularly analyze data within metadata systems to identify gaps within our dataset across all languages. Research and source data for enrichment of records, validate against technical QC guidelines for entry into systems, ensuring the fullest dataset possible and in line with publication requirements to support internal distribution and affiliate platforms.
Liaise with metadata teams globally to ensure alignment of data IDs across systems and avoid duplication within the media supply chain.
Manage the metadata change control process, working with relevant downstream system owners including Programming, Legal, Content Ops and Business System Support, to ensure changes are approved and managed correctly.
Manage metrics and reporting for stakeholders where appropriate.
Assist with ad hoc updates and remediation in applicable metadata and rights systems as the pacific time zone lead as part of the global team of metadata management personnel.Required Skills: METADATA; SQL SERVER QUERIES; ETL; CHANGE CONTROL PROCESS; DATA MODELING REVIEWS.
