Amick Brown is seeking an experienced

Business Analyst, Intranet (SharePoint/Unily) for

our direct client.

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Duration: 7 Months.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • We are seeking an Intranet Deployment Lead/Business Analyst for a deployment project.
  • The Intranet Business Analyst will lead design and content migration efforts to help launch a new company intranet which includes standing up a new intranet based on Unily. For all stages of the intranet’s development, this person will hold responsibility for the overall design and implementation, site navigation, site content, engagement and training of users, coordination with key stakeholders and oversight of the technology.
  • Become Unily subject matter expert
  • Meet with stakeholders to understand business requirements
  • Develop and implement site and page designs working with key stakeholders
  • Lead efforts to improve sections of the intranet or deliver new tools through the intranet
  • Assist in the development of governance model and facilitate adherence
  • Monitor user-generated content for appropriateness
  • Monitor site analytics and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Technology
  • Experience a SharePoint Intranet Lead or SharePoint Administrator is must
  • Ensure proper coordination between the IT Department and intranet software vendors
  • Understand the basic technology platforms. This is currently based on a product called Unily.
  • Liaise with the IT Department and software vendors on technical questions of implementation and upgrades
  • Lead user acceptance testing and issue resolution
  • Engagement
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to understand their needs and involve them in planning and problem solving (including Employee Communications & Engagement, IT, HR, and other content owners.
  • Coordinate the efforts of central content owners
  • Involve users in structured design and planning activities
  • Communicate actively with all main stakeholder and user groups
  • Provide introductions and training to users of all different levels (including average users, content owners, news authors, group owners)

Required Skills
  • 8+ years of experience designing and implementing intranets or collaboration software (E.g.: Unily, SharePoint, WordPress, Drupal, Simpplr etc.)
  • Understanding of top-level business strategies and organizational structures
  • Basic understanding of the components of common web technology (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership skills to coordinate and facilitate activities with colleagues
  • Highly experienced with Office applications, including word-processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
  • Advanced business and data analysis, business process and application knowledge
  • The ability to take ownership, manage through conflict and mobilize internal resources
  • Adaptable to a changing, dynamic client-facing work environment while driving results
