Job Description: Business Analyst/User Researcher

Key Responsibilities: The User Researcher / Information Architect will help ensure that our systems are tuned to the needs of our cross-functional users, with robust, scalable information architecture and high-quality, trustable data. The candidate will leverage research, UX, design, and IA skills to bring new system features from concept to production, as well as work with users to enhance a suite of existing system features. Working with the Closed Loop System Lead, you will be responsible for supporting an array of cross-functional stakeholders, work with off-shore development teams and Data Analysts, and collaborating across various teams to make our systems a delight to our users.

  • Work closely with Systems Lead to align on digital product strategy for information storage solutions for highly cross-functional teams
  • Lead research with a range of user groups to understand needs, identify pain points, deeply understand critical business documentation, information storage and accessibility needs
  • Create documentation & visualizations that describe the user experience, key pain points, and opportunities for improvement
  • Gather and cross-check detailed data and documents from stakeholders to build information architecture and data models
  • Create requirements to guide technical development, work to find solutions that serve the needs & goals of multiple individuals & teams
  • Test technical development to ensure UX will meet defined requirement
  • Become an expert in the data & content model of information systems owned cross-functional teams
  • Identify opportunities for data quality, system improvement & automation

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Deep experience working with users, conducting a range of research techniques: interviews, ethnographic research, workshops & interactive exercises, to glean insights
  • Document research findings into a range of documentation: value propositions & user stories, customer journey, process engineering, user flow diagrams & data flow diagrams, gap analysis, system requirements, etc
  • Experience with content types, meta-data, information architecture, data modeling, data field types
  • Experience with content management systems, information management systems, data types
  • Strong communication skills - the ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and management on different levels
  • Project management skills a plus
