The Business Development Representative (BDR) is a key member of the Converge Sales Organization with the primary responsibility of driving appointments and new opportunities with new prospective clients. Converge helps our clients across a broad range of IT solution areas including Advanced Analytics, Data Center, Enterprise Networking, Cloud and Cybersecurity. Converge serves both public entities and private companies in the enterprise, commercial, and emerging market segments. The IT solutions we provide include Computer Hardware and Software, Cloud Solutions, Consulting Services, Managed Services and Support. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, self-confidence, be able to communicate clearly in both a verbal and written format, be very organized and demonstrate the ability to work on a team. Converge is looking for a candidate that knows they want to be an account executive and is ready to learn the business and the skills they need to become a highly effective member of the Converge family. Objectives of this Role: You will report to the Director of Business Development, your duties and responsibilities will be designated by the company, with an initial focus on: Creating long lasting relationships with new prospective clients that will lead to a mutually beneficial business partnership. Driving appointments and client engagements with new prospects consistent with Converges core-competencies detailed above. Increasing awareness of Converge and our capabilities in your target territory. Increasing sales of IT vendor products to new prospects. Engaging key vendor account executives with the purpose of partnering together to find new opportunities with prospective clients. The continued follow up and monitoring of contacts to ensure Converge is well positioned for future IT projects with new prospective clients. Skills and Qualifications: 1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must 8. Ability to organize and work on multiple simultaneous projects at one time 9. Detail oriented with the ability to follow a well-established process 10. Demonstrate continuous process improvement by finding and suggesting better ways to execute your job function 11. Possess a genuine curiosity to learn new technology 12. Experience with marketing tools such as HubSpot and ZoomInfo are a plus 13. Demonstrate willingness to ask for help from and provide help to the Converge team 14. College Degree preferred
