Organization:SHSO-Sutter Health System Office-ValleyPosition Overview:Transform raw data into meaningful and useful information for business analysis purposes to provide historical, current, and predictive views of business operations, risk, and performance. Creates and completes regular and ad hoc analytics and reporting from applications based on the specifications and requirements of project teams, department initiatives, or team members. Participates in the development of Business Intelligence (BI) solutions as well as developing data reporting frameworks for the presentation and delivery of metrics, key performance indicators, dashboards, and analytics for project teams, department initiatives, and team members.Identify reporting and analysis requirements related to business processes and partner with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to triage and comprehend reporting and analytics requests. Translate moderate-to-complex business requirements into functional requirements. Gathers and documents business requirements while supporting BI products and users as well as creates reports to provide analytical support to team members.Assist team members with data requirements related to risk assessment and work plan development activities. Performs data validation to ensure data extractions/reports are accurately pulling the correct data while achieving business requirement needs as well as determining if programming is accurate.Develop work plans for setting up and testing new and existing system functionalities as well as develop tracking reports/metrics/databases for testing system upgrades, conversions, and other related projects.The Internal Audit team supports Sutter Health in advancing its mission and fulfilling its organizational goals by providing independent, objective assurance and consulting services designed to systematically evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. This role assists in advancing the departmental mission in a manner consistent with the values and standards of Sutter Health, the Department and the internal audit profession. We emphasize integrity, objectivity, confidentiality, and competency in our services and focus on collaboration and teamwork within our department.This is a hybrid role and candidate must live within a commutable distance from Sacramento, CA. Some on-site work is required (e.g., meetings, etc.). Bachelor's: Applied Statistics, Computer Analytics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related field

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

2 years recent relevant experience in Business Intelligence reporting using BI applications, using programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, etc.) to query data through the use of data mining, statistical modeling, and ad hoc reporting to demonstrate relationships within the data set or to support specific analysis.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with clients, team members, management, and executive personnel/staff.

Verbal and writing skills to effectively communicate with diverse groups such as: executives, managers, and subject matter experts.

Set priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities and prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner.

Analyze information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures in order to identify relevant concerns and factors.

Advanced SQL, Python, advanced Excel, and Tableau experience desired.

Experience with data acquisition from critical business systems and an ability to learn how to acquire data from new business systems.

Perform a variety of duties and often change from one task to another of a different nature with frequent interruptions and/or distractions.

Skilled in developing documentation at a technical and user level.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
