Assumes central responsibility for participants achieving self-sufficiency by monitoring progress throughout the program cycle, beginning with referral/intake and continuing through case management, retention and advancement efforts in follow up phase.Compare clients' applications with eligibility requirements through interviewsProvides general information regarding program objectives to assess eligibilitySchedules intake appointmentsConduct preliminary meetings with the customer and accurately completes all application/enrollment and verifies eligibility for program and other required forms and documents to bring for intake; Compute financial data in order to determine eligibilityResponsible for uploading all certification of applicant of documentation following appropriate intake as required by county or government agenciesEnsure compliance with county and government regulations in regard to intake and enrollment qualificationsAttend meetings/trainings and community events outside the center and on occasion evenings and weekends as requiredManages a caseload of participants and provides counseling and mentoringAssesses participant competencies, work history, educational attainment, skills, and abilities; identifies challenges to finding employment and prompts them to find solutionsConducts regular ongoing individual meetings with participants for job search, education, job retention, and/or job readinessCompletes an individualized overview of available services and works with participant to create an employment plan for short- and long-term goalsEnsures participant accountability and attendance; tracks and maintains employment retention goalsPrepares, organizes, and maintains accurate, updated information in both electronic and paper participant files reflecting the entire history of a program participant including log of supportive services issuedProvides case management with a focus on helping customers to prepare for employment that leads to self-sufficiencyFacilitates customer access to training, education, and to employment services, as well as job-specific information; provide case management to customers at the appropriate level.Display the ability to work with a variety of cultures, languages, educational and economic backgrounds in a classroom settingImprove the job readiness score of students in workshops and deliver a pipeline of work ready customers to staffConducts searches for suitable job openings for clients, comparing client qualifications with employer's requirementsDevelops a wide variety of job opportunities for candidates, establishes and maintains active and frequent contact employersDevelops and maintains detailed knowledge of the local labor marketEstablishes rapport with area businesses; maintains on-going relationships with businessesWorks with businesses to identify job openings, alternative work activities, and training initiativesAssists employers in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring qualified applicantsMaintains a current listing of local job opportunitiesMaintains follow-up contact with employers to determine satisfaction with services and plan for quality improvementArranges for employers to speak to candidates about employment and employer expectationsOther duties as assigned
