Job Posting:Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Renovations Category Sales Specialist. If you have a love of meeting people and providing great customer service coupled with an interest in contributing directly to the bottom line of a multi-billion-dollar organization, this is the position for you!As a Category Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting vendor managed inventory (VMI) projects throughout the Sacramento Valley and partner with customers to provide an outstanding experience.Responsibilities

Performing customer evaluations to help determine if they are a good fit for a vendor managed inventory.

Developing VMI product strategy for each customer based on their needs and Ferguson’s

Design and setup of on-site inventories using Ferguson guidelines

Receiving product replenishment inventory into the VMI locations

Make adjustment for any mis-shipped product as needed

Regular maintenance of on-site inventory (labeling, put away, and cycle counts)

Staging and labeling of specials for material not in the VMI

Manage and track replenishment orders as well as coordinate with local branches to provide excellent customer service.

Lead and develop customer relationships on a local, regional, and national level, or combination thereof.

Will work with Ferguson's Business Development Manager and national account manager to help close sales and maintain ongoing jobs.

Alignment with inventory efficiency goals and maintenance of job performance against job expectations.

Help conduct semi-annual inventories at all VMI locations (every January and June)

Frequent local travel required; occasional overnight travel required.

Valid driver’s license required.

Follow established Safety guidelines as determined by Ferguson and customer.

Additional responsibilities based on individual customer service needs as required.

Qualifications

5 years’ experience with plumbing / HVAC, apartment maintenance, facilities management, facilities supply or project coordination, required

Experience with plumbing and HVAC products is preferred

Project coordination in the Plumbing / HVAC, hospitality, or multifamily construction, a huge plus

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Strong computer and MS Office skills, with emphasis on Excel

The ability to delegate work

Self-motivation and are process-oriented to manage multiple VMI’s

Very detailed and meticulous and comfortable performing within established processes
