Description:Responsible for manufacturing and assembly of clinical and commercial products. Operates production equipment. Weighs, measures and checks raw materials to assure batches manufactured contain proper ingredients and quantities. Maintains records and laboratory environment to comply with regulatory requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures. Assist with in-process testing to assure batches meet specifications. Assignments are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations. Supports all applicable regulations including but not limited to FDA, ISO, and CMD/CAS requirements. Independently performs general production processes. Maintain and enforce process control in compliance with ISO 9001/EN46001 requirements. Identify deviations from procedures and initiate Non Conforming Material Reports. Maintain operating performance of production equipment according to Focus Diagnostics and/or manufacturer's preventative maintenance procedures and approved Company policy. Review batch records, procedures, create new documents and initiate DCRs as required. Assist in Validation procedures and experiments. Maintain Inventory Control. Maintain the cleanliness of the production laboratory according to approved Company Standard Policy & Procedure. Assist the Production Supervisor and Production Technicians (as needed) in the general daily manufacturing process. Assist in training of new employees. Assist in special projects. Assist in writing reports – Investigation, Validation, Experimental, etc. Run IFA assays and interpret results/slides. Ability to work under pressure and meet expected production schedule. Schedule and prioritize tasks when given numerous assignments. Ability to follow and complete a complex series of steps in manufacturing specifications. Excellent sterile technique. Knowledge of various cell culture techniques including antigen processing, sonication, formal in fixation and slide spotting. Cell counting and media preparation. Ability to perform viral and bacterial infection. Responsible for performing assigned tasks in accordance with applicable safety regulations and instructions, as well as correcting unsafe work habits and practices and/or bringing to the attention of the Safety Team or a supervisor any practice or condition that may be detrimental to the safety and health of the employees. You also have a responsibility to cooperate in all safety or health-related programs and assist in solving safety and health problems. Violations of safety directives and procedures will be handled in accordance with the established Company disciplinary process. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
