Job Title: Cellular/Wireless (DAS/OTA) Performance EngineerLocation: Sacramento, CA 94207 – 2-3 days/week onsiteDuration: 12+ months C2HInterview Process: Video CDMA , LTE , RF EngineeringStrong technical knowledge of DAS network solutions and products
Responsibilities:- Proactively tracks and reviews cellular network performance, identifies performance issues, and takes ownership to drive towards resolution/improvement
- Perform network analysis to troubleshoot issues and coordinate communications between the customer, operations team and field support systems.
- Conducts response to cellular tickets (DAS/OTA), determines validity of alarms, coordinates vendor response to identify fault and resolve issue.
- Network performance monitoring (Signal variance, Integration anomalies, and end user experience) for proactive coverage & performance improvements.
- Monitoring protocol compatibility, performing system tuning, and making recommendations for improvement.
- Coordinates DAS uplift/Carrier integration for Network Cellular projects
- Interaction with existing and potential customers
- Works independently on routine research and reporting functions.
- Collaborate on the installation and testing of RAN / RF / DAS equipment with site installers. Support DAS troubleshooting, where required.
- Develop/maintain network documentation
- Other duties as assigned.
- Strong technical knowledge of DAS network solutions and products.
- Minimum of eight years of professional experience with at least five years related DAS design/integration/support experience required.
- 5+ years of working experience that demonstrates proficiency in OEM (Operating Equipment Manufacturer) hardware including but not limited to (CommScope, SOLiD, Corning, JMA (Teko), ADRF)
- 5 + years of working experience that demonstrating proficiency in test equipment including but not limited to Spectrum Analyzers, Cable Analyzer, PC-Tel, Cel-Link.
- Experience using iBwave in-building RF design software. iBwave Certification (Preferred, not required).
- Working knowledge of communication theory including measurement metrics for CDMA, EV-DO, UMTS, LTE, and channel/band assignments.
- Knowledge of wireless technologies, including 4G, LTE, 5G. and private mobile networks via CBRS.
- Working knowledge in telecommunications, cable/conduit routing, equipment rack layouts, wired and wireless communications, floor plans, power/cooling
