Expectations:

Certified Anesthesia Technician (Cer. A. T.) will report to the Director of Surgical Care Administration and work under supervision of OR Manager and licensed anesthesia providers. He/she is integral member of the anesthesia care team. Cer. A. T. role is to assist anesthesia providers and Operating Room nurses to contribute to safe, efficient and cost-effective anesthesia care in preparation for routine and complex surgical procedures by preparing and maintaining patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems before, during and after anesthesia. This is a full time position which may require flexibility of hours and is eligible for overtime pay.Education:High school diploma or GE required. A graduate of Anesthesia Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT) approved program and completion of required clinical component preferred.Experience/Training:A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Certified Anesthesia Technician at acute care hospital preferred.Licenses/Certifications:ASATT certification required. BLS certification required.Skills:An understanding of advanced life support. Understands medical terminology as it relates to anesthesia patient care.Demonstrates an understanding of anesthesia equipment and related supplies.
