Job Description

Scope of Position

Work with 3rd party CFS Partner to ensure that the shipments brought through the warehouse are properly accounted for while working with our internal Products to dispatch recovery and delivery to the consignee.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Research Shipments in the Expeditors System.
  • Orchestrating office and warehouse personnel locating / consolidating shipments to be moved and loaded.
  • Coordinating with Expeditors Dispatch Team / Products to Recover Shipments from CFS.
  • Working with CFS leadership to orchestrate preloaded trailers to be recovered.
  • Continuous inventory review to ensure that it is accurate with freight movement.
  • Work to drive process improvements that support the 3rd party CFS partner and Expeditors Products.
  • Utilizing workflow tools / dashboards to drive visibility of freight movement / completion of life cycle while at the CFS.
  • Work within Import Gateway team to support freight recovery, shipments in the CFS and equipment returns to air and ocean partners.

Qualifications

  • High School Degree or equivalent required
  • Successful candidates must pass a background check
  • Good computer skills (Word, Excel, and familiarity with PowerPoint)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must not require future sponsorship for employment Visa
  • Must have the ability to work overtime in support of the department needs
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize throughout the workday while remaining focused and organized
  • Demonstrated ability to be pro-active in thought and action
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Analytical with a strong attention to detail
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including proven ability to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • Willing to pitch in and help on last minute projects or assist team members
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Comfortable with numbers and basic mathematical skills
  • Has a demonstrated strong work ethic,and reliability
  • Comfortable working in a professional business environment
  • Must be able to commute to the city of ­­ ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­Carson, CA.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Associates or Undergraduate Degree Preferred
  • Worked in and around Warehouse Operations
  • Understanding of International Shipment Movement
  • Understanding of International Shipment Documentation
  • Understanding of International Air Import Recovery / Breakdown
  • Understanding of International Ocean Import Recovery / Devanning
  • Understanding of Ground Network Services for Truck Services
