Child Care Assistant

The Learn & Discover Preschool is looking for a part-time caregiver/assistant to help run our preschool program in a caring child care home environment.

1-2 years experience (professional or personal) working with and/or caring for young children is required.

(Early Childhood Education training preferred, but not mandatory.)

Looking for someone who is outgoing, organized, professional, and has good verbal communication skills when speaking with parents.

Must have their own transportation, be RELIABLE and on-time.

Must be willing to complete Livescan fingerprinting background check and CPR training upon hire. (Costs reimbursed by employer.)

Must be available to work any time Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

Duties include:

-indoor and outdoor supervision of children (including messy art and science activities)

-helping with cooking and food preparation for snacks and meals, and clean-up

-helping children with diaper changes or toileting

-general classroom maintenance (tidying, wiping down shelves, windows etc.)

20-30 hours per week (Plus occasional substitution.)

Pay is $18/hour
