Child Care Worker

The Child Care Worker is responsible for the well-being of the children under their care. Responsibility includes

fostering a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for the children and supporting their social, emotional,

and physical development. The candidate needs to possess essential skills, including patience, strong

communication with children of all ages, knowledge of child development, and the ability to handle behavioral

challenges, and will need to maintain open communication with the parents.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

 Maintain a safe play environment (environment is set up).

 Sanitize toys and play equipment.

 Keep play space organized and make sure space is picked up before end of day.

 Vacuum play space floor two days a week to keep dust down.

 Provide kids with nutritionally balanced snacks/meals and water (parent packs and provides daily).

 Organize and monitor children’s age-appropriate recreational activities, such as games, arts and crafts,

sports, walks, and play dates.

 Ensuring the children have good hygiene and changing diapers as necessary.

 Help keep play space stocked with wipes/diapers/snacks/water.

 Ensure children are getting at least 30 minutes outside if weather permits.

 Incorporate 45min + of “quiet time”/nap time daily.

 Keep children away from work offices unless asked to bring them up.

 There may be rare cases where you are asked to adjust your schedule if childcare is needed for

meetings that may occur outside of your regular days/hours.

 Communicate about daily child behaviors and emotional related issues.

Requirements & Qualifications

 High School Diploma or equivalent; Early Childhood Education (ECE) certification a plus.

 Previous childcare experience required.

 Experience with infants required.

 CPR and First-Aid certification required.

 Excellent communication and patience.

 Able to lift (30 lbs. minimum) and often bending, stooping, and kneeling.

Pay

 $30.00/hour

Shift:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 9:15 am-4:00 pm
