Maxim Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Entry-Level Classroom Aides for various Ventura schools, spanning from Elementary to High School levels. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with children who have learning disabilities, are on the autism spectrum, or simply require additional support in the classroom setting.

Responsibilities:

Assist classroom teachers in providing personalized support to students with diverse learning needs.

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as directed by the teacher.

Implement instructional strategies under the guidance of the classroom teacher.

Support students in completing tasks, assignments, and activities.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required (would need to take a Gen Ed exam at the school district if you do not have an AA or 48 college credits)

If you have an AA or 48 college credits you do not need to take the GEN ED Exam

Prior experience working with children or individuals with special needs is a plus.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children.

Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.

Schedule and Compensation:

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 3:00 PM (depending on school sites).

$19 per hour, paid weekly.

30-32 hours per week.

Start date: ASAP with the possibility of working summer school until 06/24.

Eligibility to return for the 2024-25 school year.
