Summary:An incredible opportunity just became available in Torrance, CA for a Clay / Digital Automotive Modeler. You will work on numerous ongoing exterior and interior automotive projects. Candidates with automotive or power sports modeling experience, traditional 3D modeling or subdivision modeling will be considered.Responsibilities: • Day to day focus will be on clay automotive modeling functions relevant to departmental and organizational needs including: o Reviewing product concept.o Styling and engineering requirements.o Creating 3-D scale and full-size clay forms and/or digital models including surfacing and subdivision modeling. o Altering clay and/or digital models.o Verifying conformance to design specifications.• Operating clay machines. • 3D scanning and logging on Etos.• Data making, milling, CAM and clay milling. • You will complete modeling 50% digital and 50% clay.Requirements: • Experience with ANY of these modeling software’s such as Alias, CATIA, Gravity Sketch, Blender and/ or Modo.• Automotive or power sports modeling experience, exterior clay modeling experience is ideal.• Must be team oriented, will collaborate with numerous departments.• Flexible to jump from one project to the next; adapts to a fluid working environment depending on the project needs. • Experience in data making, 3D scanning and/or milling is preferred.• Relatable degree with 5+ years experienceType: 12 + monthsLocation: Torrance, CA (Hybrid work schedule)
