Organization:STCH-Sutter Tracy Community HospPosition Overview: $10K sign on bonus Works closely with the manager to assess, plan, develop, implement, and evaluate clinical staff educational programs in response to health care demands, trends, identified learning needs, department goals, quality improvement measures, risk management, regulatory changes, and compliance criteria. Designs clinical educational offerings (courses, simulations, programs) using processes and methodologies that incorporate the principles of adult education and learning styles. Directs the delivery of education for new staff orientation, conducts competency assessments, and establishes ongoing courses and programs based on annual needs assessments and educational compliance requirements. Performs education activities that validate, develop, maintain and enhance the knowledge and skills of the targeted audience.Job Description :EDUCATION:

ASN required, BSN preferred.

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

RN- Registered Nurse of California

BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider

PALS-Pediatric Advanced Life Support Healthcare Provider

ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

5 years recent relevant experience in Perioperative services.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Demonstrated proficiency in adult teaching/learning theories and program assessment, program design, promotion and marketing implementation and evaluation processes.

Good understanding of current regulatory and accreditation requirements.

General knowledge of scope of practice and evidence-based practice for Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs), Medical Assistants (MAs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).

Exceptional attention to detail with time management and organization skills with the ability to work with a high degree of initiative and independence in order to meet deadlines and implement projects effectively.

Possesses written and public speaking skills, including the ability to clearly and professionally explain medical, technical, or sensitive information to diverse audiences.

Advanced knowledge of word processing, presentation, and email software, such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Outlook, in addition to a working understanding of Microsoft SharePoint, Adobe Captivate, HealthStream and Epic, and an aptitude for learning new programs.

Prioritize routine and priority tasks within defined policies, procedures, and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines; help determine appropriate approach for new assignments.

Use experience and existing precedents or procedures to resolve atypical or infrequent problems; provide informal guidance and support to junior team members.

Coordinate efforts with others, including interdisciplinary groups, with direct lines of authority.

Ensure the privacy of each patient’s protected health information (PHI).

Work independently as well as be part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions.

Develop collaborative relationships with various groups internally and externally, including clinical and support staff, other departments, management, Sutter Health Clinical Nurse Educators, college staff, Regional CPR Training Program Coordinators, and regulatory agencies to coordinate educational needs and ensure compliancy.

Pay Range: $35.47 - $44.33 / hourThe salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
