Job Details

  • $95.00 per hour

    Shift Time: 08: 30-5: 00pm

  • Unit/Department: Pediatric Intestinal Rehab Clinic

Required

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program preferred
  • California Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Minimum of 1 year RN experience, Ideal, 3+ years of experience
  • PEDIATRIC experience

Preferred

  • PALS
  • Experience with central line dressing changes

Responsibilities

  • Assessing, diagnosing, identifying outcomes, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care of patients.
  • Directing and supervising nursing care for patients in the GASTROENTEROLOGY setting.
  • GI nutrition
  • Central line dressing changes
  • Medication administration
  • TPN and GT feedings
  • Nurse coordination
  • Triage
  • Follow up calls
  • Review of labs
  • Family education
  • EPIC inbasket messages
  • Obtains accurate and relevant assessment data and interprets the data as normal vs abnormal. Determines nursing diagnosis. Monitors and evaluates data as frequently as needed based on stability.
  • Collaborates with the patient, family and members of health care team to develop an individualized plan of care. Implements nursing and medical interventions safely. Evaluates effectiveness of interventions and monitors patient for adverse responses and side effects.
  • Assesses a patient' s and family' s learning needs and readiness to learn. Teaches needed information for self-care and illness prevention. Adjusts information and expectations based on responses from patient, developmental levels, physiological and psychological condition, and cultural variations.
  • Performs other assigned duties
