CNC Lathe Set up & Operator

Job Type: Full-time

Qualifications

High school or equivalent

3-5 years’ experience (preferred)

Primary responsibilities

Set up and opperate CNC lathe machinery

Review electronic or written blueprints or specifications for a job.

Position workpiece correctly on the lathe, or milling machine.

Monitor and control feed rate and speed.

Ensure workpiece is properly lubricated and/or cooled.

Detect problems by listening for specific sounds.

Monitor the accuracy of cuts.

Replace dull cutting tools.

Check accuracy of work against blueprints and specifications.

Use manual and computer-controlled machinery.

Write basic programs.

Modify programs in response to problems.

Schedule:

Full-time: 40 hours per week

Day shift: 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
