Coating Shop Technician

Job Description:

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Coating Shop Technician to join our team at Finish Logic. We are a small, reputable powder coating shop in Concord, CA. As a Coating Shop Technician, your primary responsibility will be media blasting operations. Additionally, you will assist in various other tasks within the shop, including chemical stripping, cleaning, tape and plug, organizing, and general duties as required.

Responsibilities:

Conduct media blasting operations on a variety of parts and surfaces, ensuring proper preparation for powder coating application.

Assist with chemical stripping of parts when necessary, following safety guidelines.

Clean and prepare parts for coating by removing dirt, grease, and previous coatings using various cleaning methods.

Apply tape and plugs to protect designated areas from the coating process effectively.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Operate equipment and tools safely and efficiently.

Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and meet production deadlines.

Support other stations as required, such as quality control inspections, racking, and packaging.

Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Perform general tasks and duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Requirements:

NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED; we are willing to train the right candidate.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks, lift heavy objects, and work in a standing position for extended periods.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Basic knowledge of shop equipment, tools, and machinery is preferred.

Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety regulations.

Good communication skills and ability to work well with others.

Strong work ethic and dependable nature.
