Collections Specialist

This long-term contract / contract Collections Specialist position is available in the Santa Ana, California area.Your responsibilities

Abide by all Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act rules and regulations

Register all customer payments to the correct reports

Guarantee the processing of payments

Accurately process bankruptcy filings when received

Locate delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, written correspondence, phone contact, and making arrangements for payment

Oversee and update customer files to ensure data consistency

Take care of inbound and outbound collections calls and correspondence

Head all billing and reporting activities in response to deadlines

Act as mediator in maintaining quality customer service and a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiries Requirements - 2-3 years of prior high volume collections experience

Ability to survey and make decisions regarding customer accounts

Prior experience working with collections/accounting software

AA or BS/BA in Accounting preferred

Invoice Discrepancies experience

Demonstrated knowledge of Vendor Invoices

Commercial collections experience

Proficiency in credit collections

General familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)

Consumer collections experience preferred

Foundational knowledge in Invoice Issues

Adeptness in Review Invoices

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
