Position Description:The Configuration Analyst will work with Product, Engineering, and QA teams to support enterprise applications used for insurance agency management. This person will perform configuration updates in our systems for new and existing products, maintain system documentation, and support Helpdesk/Engineering as needed with production support and release activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Configure new/existing products on current Company applications.
Authoring and debugging business rules using a rules engine (BRMS).
Maintain Excel spreadsheets which include advanced formulas, data references and VBA code.
Support level II escalations from Helpdesk requiring deeper forensics and troubleshooting of Company applications and products.
Report statprogress to project team members as needed.
Working with business users to understand business requirements and translate them to systems solutions.

Required Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
Experience with application configuration, documentation, and support.
ZenDesk/Jira ticket systems: creating, updating, and closing tickets.
Enjoy learning new software and figuring out ways to make it better.
Ability to pivot quickly when business priorities change.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Effective oral and written communication skills. Team mentality. Must have strong interpersonal skills, be able to work both independently and as part of a team and thrive on technical challenges.

Desired Skills:

Knowledge or work experience of SQL and JSON is a plus.
Experience on enterprise software design/support for insurance or financial services is a plus.
Experience with enterprise Rules Engines like InRule, Drools, Red Hat Decision Manager (fka JBoss).
Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and experience in an Agile/Scrum preferred.
Cursory knowledge of programming concepts.
