The Construction Superintendent oversees day-to-day operations at commercial construction sites, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to plans and specifications. This role is responsible for managing field crews, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring work aligns with project plans, schedules, and specifications.

Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field staff to maintain workflow and project progress.

Enforce job site safety, quality control, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Conduct daily site inspections and maintain detailed logs and reports of progress, issues, and delays.

Work closely with the Project Manager to develop and update project schedules, forecasts, and manpower plans.

Review drawings and specifications; identify conflicts, omissions, or potential issues and resolve them proactively.

Lead on-site meetings with subcontractors, inspectors, and project professionals.

Ensure timely delivery of materials and manage site logistics.

Oversee punch lists, inspections, and project closeout processes.

Foster a positive and professional work environment promoting teamwork, accountability, and efficiency.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, Foreman, or similar field leadership role in commercial construction.

Strong knowledge of building systems, codes, and safety regulations.

Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, or Bluebeam).

OSHA Certifications preferred

High school diploma or GED required; degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.

Work Environment:

Primarily field-based at active job sites.

Must be able to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.

Work may involve exposure to varying weather conditions.
