THIS JOB IS FULLY ONSITE IN IRVINE, CA. KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for a Continuous Improvement Leader: Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma Green Belt or higher, Value Stream Mappings, Minitab, w/ a former technical background & degree This position will be responsible for analyzing, maintaining, and improving organizational performance for our Irvine site which does discrete manufacturing. This position will report to the Site Leader and collaborate with the Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, IT, and Facilities teams. Essential duties and/or functions:Lead projects aimed at quality, cost, and/or service improvements. Facilitate process improvement activities such as Lean Kaizen events, Value Stream Mappings, strategic planning and brainstorming workshops.Develop strategies to enhance business processes.Communicate, train, and inspire employees on the principles, methods, tools, and power of Lean Six Sigma.Coach and mentor employees on continuous improvement projects. Communicate to upper management on the progress of continuous improvement initiatives.Develop an understanding of the latest Lean Six Sigma principles, methods, and tools.Monitor and track site financial savings.Perform other related duties as assigned.Occasional physical demands, including:Operating around moving equipmentPushing/pulling up to 50 lbs

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, industrial technology, materials science & engineering, quality engineering, chemical engineering, computer engineering technology, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial & systems engineering, or comparable is required. (Business degrees are not ideal.)3-5 years of Continuous Improvement experience - can be as a manufacturing engineer, quality engineer, process engineer, or industrial engineer w/out a CI job title. That includes:Experience leading a team (will have 1 direct report) (preferred)Proven experience in project management / project delivery & skill at working cross-functionally w/ different departments / teamsDepth of experience in lean manufacturing (for discrete manufacturing required; process manufacturing is a big plus) - can be as a manufacturing engineer, quality engineer, process engineer, or industrial engineer w/out a CI job title. Proven ability to complete projects using Kaizen (facilitating Kaizen events) - can be as a manufacturing engineer, quality engineer, process engineer, or industrial engineer w/out a CI job title. Proven ability to complete projects using Lean Six Sigma principles, methods, and tools. - can be as a manufacturing engineer, quality engineer, process engineer, or industrial engineer w/out a CI job title. Strong experience improving manufacturing flow processes. Skill at value stream mappingsSolid understanding of WIP (Work in Progress)Skill at leveraging data / statistical analysis w/ Minitab or comparable Experience w/ Visio Trained Green Belt (cert is helpful)Previous experience working in any of the following capacities (or comparable):Manufacturing EngineeringChemical EngineeringProcess EngineeringQuality Engineering Proven ability to solve problems creativelyStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent analytical skillsStrong interpersonal skills and extremely resourcefulExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSolid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills Preferred / Desired Skills: Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt OR higherExperience with composite manufacturing Compensation depends on experience, but is between $88-115K plus bonus.
