Job description:
Engineering Program Manager (Contract)-Santa Clara, CA The EPM will need to learn quickly about process and be able to manage small to medium projects independently end-to-end in support of larger company programs and initiatives. S/he should be proactive in addressing issues, be able to identify any gaps in tools and process and suggest enhancements. In addition, s/he should be agile to implement any changes to protocol in response to different needs and workflows, and be able to communicate clearly with internal and external team members and stakeholders.Job Responsibilities:- Support hardware development builds
- Create and structure Bill of Materials (BOM) and communicate new part numbers to internal teams, and with the Contract Manufacturer
- Write Engineering Change Orders (ECO) and manage changes to the BOMs
- Purchase order creation for development builds
- Develop and manage device Build Matrix
- Track prototype device allocations
- Team support for Systems & Tools
- Support non engineering groups (sales, marketing, finance, etc) with Program Management skills, setups and tracking of key company deliverables on a as needed basis
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferably in the fields of mechincal, electrical, industrial engineering or computer science
- 3-5 years of program/project management experience preferably for new product development
- Understanding of Product Development program management processes
- Operations and supply chain experience
- Experience working on cross functional teams
- Excellent communications skills
- Highly analytical and visual, with mastery in presentation software (PowerPoint or Keynote) and Excel.
