Description We are in search of a Controller to join our team in the aerospace manufacturing industry, located in Long Beach, California. In this role, you will be tasked with managing and overseeing the accounting functions, including cost and government accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting. This role offers an exciting employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Oversee and manage all accounting operations including Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of customer credit applications and maintain accurate customer credit records Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings Coordinate the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements Perform month-end and year-end close process Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with established regulations and standards Utilize advanced Excel features such as Vlookups, Pivot tables, and Sumifs to facilitate financial tasks and reporting Utilize SAP ERP 6.0 or S/4 HANA Accounting module for various accounting tasks and processes. Requirements Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Controller role or similar position Proficient in using 3M and Accounting Software Systems Experience with ADP - Financial Services is essential Familiarity with CRM and Crystal Reports is necessary Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) Proven experience in Auditing and Budget Processes Strong knowledge in Cost Accounting, Manufacturing Cost Accounting, and Standard Cost Accounting Proficiency in using SAP is required Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to lead and manage a team effectively Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field CPA or CMA certification is preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
