Description We are in search of a Controller to join our team in the warehousing and distribution sector, located in Commerce, California. This role primarily involves comprehensive financial management, including the supervision of financial reporting and team leadership. Responsibilities: Streamline processes through the utilization of financial systems such as CargoWise Accurately review and analyze financial statements to ensure compliance Supervise and manage a team, providing mentorship and guidance to enhance efficiency Implement financial policies and procedures to optimize performance Ensure the integration and accuracy of financial data within operational systems Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring its timely completion Delegate tasks to ensure adherence to financial deadlines Manage the process of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting Develop and implement systems for accounts payable and receivable management Handle complex financial data, providing actionable insights based on analysis. Requirements Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role as a Controller Proficiency in 3M Strong knowledge of Accounting Software Systems Experience with CRM and Crystal Reports Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions Expertise in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Proven experience in Auditing and Budget Processes Knowledge of Cargowise and NetSuite Skilled in using Excel Formulas, Microsoft Excel, Pivot Table and VLOOKUP Experience in preparing Consolidated Financial Statements Ability to interpret Financial Statements and experience in Financial Statement Preparation Aptitude in preparing Monthly Financial Statements and executing Month End Close Experience in managing Annual Operating Budget Proficiency in Budgeting - Forecasting, Variance Analysis, and Variance Explanations Experience in Bank Reconciliations Ability to Prepare Trial Balance and manage Trial Balance Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
