Summary

The Counter Sales Associate (CSA) is an entry-level job which is responsible for providing customer service to all customers, colleagues and vendors. The CSA is also responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the store, and running the register / cash-handling.

Job Duties

Open and close the store each day

Greet all customers, vendors and visitors that come into the store, or call in via telephone

Daily operation of the cash register (knowledge on how to correct, fix or change the cash register tape/ribbon/etc.).

Process customer orders, sell product to customers, and complete work orders on various maintenance jobs

Accurately fill, package and ship parts, as well as provide parts to technicians

Ensure used parts are returned to the customer when appropriate

Stock shelves and maintain parts inventory, ensuring all unused parts are returned to stock

Move equipment around shop, either manually, with forklift, or with pallet jack.

Participation in physical inventory - proper tagging and identification of parts for warranty parts retention

Oversee store organization, maintaining displays, supplies, products, etc. that are used in the store

Oversee store cleanliness, by managing vendors

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age

Must be fluent in Spanish (verbal)

Hold a valid CA driver’s license with a clean vehicle record

Proven experience in cash-handling and retail

Able to demonstrate a commitment to safety in the workplace

Able to demonstrate a strong work ethic

Willing to safely operate a forklift of pallet jack (training provided)

Mechanical aptitude a plus

Physical Requirements

This is a very active position, which requires the individual to be on their feet 80% of the time. The employee is regularly required to lift 25lbs, and sometimes required to lift up to 75lbs without assistance. The employee must be able to tolerate heat in the summer, and cold in the winter.

While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and arms to finger, handle, feel carry or reach.

The employee is occasionally required to sit;climb or balance or stoop; kneen, crouch or crawl.

Pay & Benefits

Shift is Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

Pay range is $18.00 - $22.00 (based on qualifications and professional experience)
