Job SummaryBest job in sports and catering!Levy at Cal Berkeley is looking for a Jr. Sous Chef. This position is perfect for an experienced cook who is looking to take the next step in their career. Here at Cal, we run the culinary department for all of Cal Berkeley’s athletic department. This encompasses all of the catering, premium clubs, and concessions for all of Cal's sporting events. This is an all year position but when there are slow weeks this position has the opportunity to travel and support within the company (Levy). Events such as All-star weekend, Super Bowl, PGA tour, US open, Kentucky derby, the Grammies, and nascar race events just to name a few. Levy runs sports entertainment all over the country, so there are many opportunities for growth. The right candidate will have 4+ years of experience as a cook or lead cook. Spanish is a plus as well as catering experience; the pay range is $25-30 per hour depending on experience. This is a full-time, hourly position.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assists in ordering and keeping inventory of products.

Maintains product cost and labor cost according to budget.

Supervises and trains hourly staff to ensure policy and procedures are implemented.

Maintains consistent, efficient service during peak hours.

Follows principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
