Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Customer Navigator situated in Palo Alto, California. The chosen applicant will be actively involved in the healthcare industry, providing top-notch customer service to patients and their families. This role requires a high level of interaction with clients, both in person and over the phone, and includes responsibilities such as managing appointments, assisting with navigation, and responding to patient complaints.Responsibilities: Act as a non-clinical liaison for patients, assisting them with all their needs before, during, and after their encounter with the medical facility. Interface with patients, their families, and visitors upon arrival at the hospital and clinics, offering assistance and providing clear, concise instructions. Facilitate the scheduling of physician appointments and other necessary patient care during in-patient and out-patient stays. Handle transportation-related queries by providing information about campus shuttles to guests. Communicate patient and guest concerns to the appropriate department for effective resolution. Manage and monitor patient appointments, ensuring all scheduled meetings occur as planned. Adhere to and promote compliance with the healthcare system's standards and requirements. Provide guidance and supervision to a team of volunteers, ensuring smooth operations. Use Microsoft Word and Excel to maintain accurate customer records and manage scheduling. Employ strong leadership skills to foster a team environment and maintain high service quality.Requirements Proficiency in Customer Service, demonstrating a strong commitment to enhancing customer satisfaction. Excellent Communication skills, able to articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word, managing data and creating reports. Experience in Training, capable of imparting knowledge and skills to others. Able to efficiently Schedule Appointments, ensuring smooth operations. Compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Strong understanding of Quality control principles and maintaining databases. Experience in Scheduling tasks and Supervising team members. Knowledge of 'About Time' software for time tracking. Familiar with Medical Coverage policies and procedures. Strong Leadership Skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members. Security conscious, ensuring the safety of company resources and information. Proficiency in English Language, both written and spoken. Experience in Facility management and acting as a Liaison between different departments. Excellent Public Relations skills, able to build and maintain positive relationships. Knowledge of best Practices in customer navigation and service. Ability to Execute tasks efficiently and effectively. Respect for Confidentiality, ensuring the privacy of customer and company information. Excellent TeamWork skills, able to collaborate effectively with others. Familiarity with Component Selection for effective problem-solving. Knowledge of HealthCare.gov policies and procedures.
