General Job Summary:Our client is currently seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer for our corporate offices in Tulsa, OK or Los Angeles, CA. Under general supervision of the VP of IT that DKKD Staffing placed, the Cyber Security Engineer 11 will need to be able to clearly communicate cyber security infrastructure issues and proposed solutions in a user-friendly, professional manner, and perform related security & IT work as required.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and demonstrate an understanding of customer and business needs within the company infrastructure
  • Evaluate the existing cybersecurity infrastructure
  • Propose solutions to identified issues, disparities, and overlapping technologies & systems
  • Conduct proof of concepts for new security tools
  • Install and manage security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure
  • Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management
  • Investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents
  • Document security breaches, initiate forensics analysis, and assess the damage they caused
  • Remediate high-priority vulnerabilities
  • Help develop company-wide best practices for IT security
  • Perform patch management on systems
  • Write and enforce security policies
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry technologies and continually strive to improve knowledge of internal operations
  • Identify, diagnose and resolve issues as reported to the Service Desk either through the Service Desk Portal, via phone, or email
  • Ensure an understanding of the Service Desk Portal and resolve tickets as assigned while ensuring proactive communications with all employees/internal customers

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 4 years applicable experience with the above duties (including internships & military experience).
    • Or 3 years experience with multiple applicable certifications (e.g., CISSP, CASP, AISC, CISA, CISM, SSCP, etc.) or higher education degrees (CS, MIS, IT, Cyber Security, etc.)
  • Insatiable curiosity to find out how things work and how to improve them
  • Applicants must be willing to work any day of the year as needed including weekends (excluding company holidays).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • BS. degree from an accredited university with a major or minor in Cyber Security, IT, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or something comparable is highly preferred
  • Experience with IT ticketing systems
  • Remote desktop support
