NetCentric Technology is seeking an Information Security Engineer to support our Cybersecurity Support Services (CSSS) contract with the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC). The ideal candidate will have experience in Information Technology systems configuration within the Department of Defense (DoD) and the ability to deploy, maintain, and support cybersecurity tools.

This is a hybrid role with a combination of working at the client site in Seaside, CA and remotely.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support the Cybersecurity Manager and PMO in efforts related to the cybersecurity tool suites of COTS applications and their deployment at DHRA/DMDC
  • Support cybersecurity applications that meet a variety of security objectives for the DHRA/DMDC cloud infrastructure and enterprise
  • Collaborate with an experienced team to actively monitor, report, and maintain network security posture as prescribed by the CSSP Security Plan
  • Utilize your knowledge of one or more cybersecurity tools such as ACAS (Tenable Security Center, Nessus), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), ESS/HBSS (McAffee ePO), or Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
  • Coordinate with IT Operations, Customers, and other team members
  • Assist senior engineers in designing and developing solutions for deploying, maintaining, and supporting cybersecurity tool suites
  • Configure and set up policies, perform root cause analysis using standard tools, and troubleshoot issues
  • Assist with cybersecurity reviews, including generation of security artifacts such as security plans, POA&Ms and security CONOPS
  • Work closely with the DMDC ISSM and ISSOs to ensure that cybersecurity tools are up to date and compliant

This position is offering a pay range of $127,000.00- $160,000.00 depending on experience, seniority, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. Responsibilities

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Active DoD 8570 IA baseline security certification for IAT Level II (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP) or greater (CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, CCSP)
  • Bachelor's degree in related field and 6+ years of relevant experience in information technology or cybersecurity
  • Relevant experience engineering one or more current cybersecurity tools, hardware/software security implementation such as ACAS, HBSS, Tanium, Splunk, or privileged access management
  • Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity policies, practices, and requirements
  • Knowledge of Computer Network Defense (CND) policies, procedures, and regulations
  • This is a hybrid position in Seaside California

Experience:
  • Experience with Linux system administration, operating and maintaining Linux systems and applications hosted in a Linux environment
  • Windows fundamentals
  • Experience with writing/running scripts (Bash, Python)
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes a plus
  • Cloud computing certifications a plus
