Position overview Position title: Lecturer Salary range: See Table 15 for the salary range for this position. The actual appointment percentage is variable, derived from an estimated full-time (100%) annual salary range of $68,247 to $70,295. Position duration: The department is seeking pre-six lecturers to teach one or more classes on a quarter-based system. Appointments may be isolated to one quarter or span multiple quarters. Position description The Department of Theater and Dance at the University of California, Santa Barbara invites applications for a pool of qualified lecturers to teach courses during the 2024-2025 Academic Year in the following areas of Dance Technique specialization: Ballet; Modern Dance; Street Dance; Social Dance; Flamenco; Gaga; Hip Hop; Jazz; and/or Tap). Expertise in more than one of these techniques is desired, though not required. Work will be in person on the UCSB campus. Reimbursement for travel and housing expenses will not be provided. Salary is standard, based on the UC's salary scales and depends on qualifications. Preferred qualifications At least five years teaching experience in applicable specialty (dance technique, embodied anatomy, music for dance, choreography/improvisation) is preferred.
