Position: Position: Data Analyst Type: Contract 6-18 months Salary: DOE Location: Burbank, CA -Hybrid -twice a week onsite The Senior Analyst will help develop a shared understanding of user behaviors within music marketing, discovery, and consumption channels and the influences of emerging technologies and platforms. The Senior Analyst will play a direct and critical role in the development of the underlying data infrastructure, analytics methodologies, and insights communication. This role requires a strong data background, excellent analytical and quantitative skills, and a keen interest in uncovering the story behind the numbers Responsibilities Support data-informed business strategies with deep analyses. Apply data mining, quantitative analysis, and data presentation to surface and elevate key themes. Develop results and recommendations that can be understood and acted upon Be the analytics partner for cross-functional stakeholders to understand business performance, diving into data to provide meaningful and actionable insights. Develop the analytical and technical framework to interpret data across disparate transaction level sources Report on company priorities. Conduct content performance and audience analysis for product releases, including artist album launches, film and series premieres. Develop and track key metrics to measure success Collaborate with the Data Science team to operationalize science and analytics. Support use case development, business integration, and process refinement of analytical methods Partner with Engineering and Products teams to develop and optimize data, capabilities, and reporting The company requires on-site workers to be fully vaccinated absent a legally required exemption approved by the vendor. Exceptions to the vendor vaccine requirement apply in states that have laws concerning employer vaccine mandates. Basic Qualifications 3+ years analytical experience Coursework or direct experience with statistical modeling and analyses Experience with SQL Experience with data and numerical computing languages (Python/R) Experience with data exploration and visualization tools (Tableau/Looker) Experience documenting data requirements, rules, and assumptions Experience communicating analytical concepts to a wide range of audiences Passion for building clear, concise, and meaningful metrics Strong time management with ability to work in a fast-paced environment across multiple priorities Strong attention to detail without losing sight of broader objectives Track record of operating independently, demonstrating creativity, and delivering results Keen interest in music and the music business Familiarity with music streaming services (Spotify, Apple, Amazon Music, YouTube), social media platforms (TikTok, FB/Instagram) and emerging technologies (digital assistants/voice) Preferred Qualifications Mastery in advanced SQL, large-scale data and numerical computing languages (PySpark) Experience data mining in distributed systems (Spark/Databricks) Experience leveraging data to deliver business value and presenting data-driven insights to business audiences Basic understanding of project management fundaments and leading data-centric projects across a wide cross-functional landscape Please contact with updated resume for immediate consideration.Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledTo read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to https://www.modis.com/en-candidate-privacyThe Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records
