DATA ARCHITECT, DATA WAREHOUSE AND MASTER DATA MANAGEMENT

MUST HAVE SKILLS:

MUST: GRAPH DATABASE
MUST: Data architecture experience for data warehouses and preferably Master Data Management (MDM) systems
Data modeling – normal form and dimensional
Intermediate SQL skills
Electric Utility experience

Minimum Qualifications

BA/BS in Business, Engineering, Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent
5 years of experience in analyzing data and presenting the results
8 years of experience in using relational databases
8 years of experience in data modeling (UML diagram, ER diagram, Normal Form modeling, dimensional modeling), database design
8 years of experience in Oracle SQL Developer, Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, Enterprise Architect and scripting languages such as SQL, R, python or powershell
8 years of experience in data quality, data governance, master data management and metadata management
Demonstrated ability to learn topics from diverse fields
Ability to work independently and to take accountability
Ability to be creative
Ability to communicate in a concise manner
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Desired Qualifications

1-3 years of experience within any area of Electric Operations in the electric utility industry
1-3 years of experience using AVEVA PI

Responsibilities

Understand business requirements
Understand the data in different information systems
Develop (and/or provide oversight in the development of) appropriate data models for new systems
Develop (and/or provide oversight in the development of) appropriate data models for enhancements to existing systems
Manage metadata
Manage master data
Develop data governance plan for the data owned by the T&D Business Applications organization
Develop data quality improvement plans for the data owned by the T&D Business Applications organization
Collaborate with the owners of information systems outside of the T&D Business Applications organization, such as GIS, to drive data quality improvement in those systems
Document all work following industry standard tools
