Data Engineer

After that a combination of onsite and remote.The Early Clinical Development Informatics (ECDi) AI team at client leverages AI to enhance the design and execution of clinical trials. We are seeking a data engineer with passion in medical imaging and clinical data to support AI/ML projects in computer vision and medical imaging. Responsibilities - Work closely with AI scientists, imaging scientists and ML engineers in medical image curation, annotation and machine learning work streams. - Work closely with AI scientists, bio statisticians and ML engineers in clinical data curation and machine learning work streams. - Responsible for working with vendors to generate high quality annotations e.g., setting up annotation projects, organizing and analyzing annotations, communicating and troubleshooting with vendors, automating annotation pipelines. - Work closely with front-end developers in developing web-based tools for medical applications. Skills required:MS in a quantitative field (e.g. Computer Science, Computational Biology, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics). - Demonstrated experience with Python and analysis of both tabular and image-like data. - Proficiency with Pandas and Pillow (or opencv) - Strong knowledge of classical image processing or computer vision, familiar with concepts such as graph cut, Dijkstra's algorithm, active contour, image transformation and registration. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Additional Desired Qualifications - Previous experience in medical image processing is preferred. - Previous experience in supervised machine learning (e.g. image classification and semantic segmentation) is a plus. - Experience with C, Java or Java Script is a plus. - Proficiency using Git version control. - Proficiency with Shell script.
