Data Engineer

Role: Data Engineer Type: Contract Location: Fremont, CA (onsite) Client: Facebook Description:

• BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Analytics or related major
• Years of industry or combination of industry and academic experience in data engineering or analytics
• Proficiency in programming or scripting languages (Python, Java, Javascript, shell or similar), Python is preferred.
• Expert in SQL including stored procedures, complex joins, creation of views, database scripting and performance tuning
• Knowledge of relational databases, including data architectures and structures
• Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker etc.
• Knowledge of product or project management
• MS Office skills: Word, Excel, Access; SharePoint
• Excellent writing and communication skills, interpersonal skills
• Flexible and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities on very tight deadlines
• Team player - this is a highly collaborative and supportive team environment
• Self-starter History of taking initiative, being proactive, and accomplishing goals
