Data Engineer - Python

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Software Engineer for a Contract assignment with one of our premier SaaS clients in San Jose, CA. This position is Hybridif local to offices in San Francisco, CA, San Jose, CA, Seattle, WA, Washington, DC, Portland, OR, New York, NY, Arden Hills, MN, Los Angeles, CA, Lehi, UT, Emeryville, CA, Denver, CO, Chicago, IL, College Park, MD, Boston, MA, or Austin, TX. Responsibilities :

• The Client's Document Cloud's Data Team is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Data Engineer to maintain and extend our data infrastructure and tools to provide high quality labeled data for machine learning (ML) projects. The work will involve maintaining and evolving our existing solutions to help generate the necessary data and integrating data storage and data annotation platform elements. You will join a team responsible for timely turnaround of extremely-high-quality labeled datasets for rapidly iterating ML projects. You will work in a fast-paced, innovative, collaborative and data-driven environment and will be responsible for translating high level requirements to actionable tasks/deliverables.

• A minimum of five years of relevant experience;
• Must be fluent in Python
• Should have experience with at least some of: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, D3, SQL and no-SQL databases, Pandas, Flask; Docker
• Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills;
• Conversant in Data Science and able to communicate with and take guidance from Data Scientists on the team;
• Track record as a self-starter;
• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field.

• Familiarity with AWS and Ubuntu is nice to have.
