Data Logistics Clerk

Description We are seeking a Logistics Clerk to join our team in Yuba City, California. In this role, you will play a crucial part in handling and organizing data related to our shipping and customer service operations. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Accurately input customer and account data from source documents within set timeframes Prepare, review, and manage various shipping documents using Word and Excel, including packing lists, invoices, and bills of lading Identify and correct data deficiencies or errors and ensure the output is accurate Respond promptly to customer inquiries via email or telephone regarding the status of their inquiries Generate, organize, and catalog information required to complete shipping documentation Arrange shipping through various services including courier, trucking, steamship lines, and air freight lines Maintain confidentiality of all information Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions based on account status Handle customer credit applications efficiently and accurately Maintain accurate customer credit recordsRequirements Proficient in Data Entry and Numeric Data Entry Experience with Customer Invoices and Enter Invoices Familiarity with Bill Pay and Bills of Lading Ability to handle Packing Lists Excellent Customer Service skills Knowledge of Shipping Documentation Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team High attention to detail and accuracy Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Basic understanding of logistics operations is a plus Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous High school diploma or equivalent qualification required Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data privacy standards.
