Job Description: The IMS Database Administration team seeks a full-time Cloud Architect / Analyst to support our strategic goal to move to the cloud. This architect / analyst will support our journey by creating technical architecture specifications and providing guidance from experience while keeping existing database commitments whole. We are seeking an architect / analyst with Snowflake, Cloud Data Warehouse, Cloud Relational Database and Heterogeneous Replication experience. Finally, we are looking for someone with an aptitude for learning new things and interest in a long term position Qualifications:We seek a Cloud Architect / Analyst with strengths in the following areas:Team player with strong communication skillsExperience with financial data systemsExperience with SnowflakeExperience with AWS Cloud Data Warehouses, Relational DatabasesExperience with Azure Cloud Data Warehouses, Relational DatabasesExperience with Heterogeneous ReplicationAbility to define technical specifications for DBAs or developersCreation of technical specifications will require a firm grasp of large relational database models for writing freehand SQL and data extractionGood analytical skills, project management experience and presentation skillsExperience with application development process and/or programming experience I. Technical skillsMigration to Snowflake experienceMigration to Azure Cloud Data Warehouses, Relational DatabasesMigration to AWS Cloud Data Warehouses, Relational DatabasesExperience with Heterogeneous ReplicationWell versed in freehand SQL, data extraction and scriptingFirm grasp of relational database modelsProgramming experience a plus II. Analyst skillsTeam player with strong communication skillsFacilitate communications upward to the management level, customers and across infrastructure and development units (e.g. business analysis, development, release management)Coordinate project team activities throughout the infrastructure / software development lifecycleExperience with financial data systems III. Experience with infrastructure / application development processGood project management and multitasking skillsExperience testing software designed for elaborate business scenarios IV. Business ExpertiseGood understanding of the financial securities industryExperience with fixed income instruments is a plusExperience with testing large-scale database systems V.
