DB & App Lead

Title- DB & App Lead Location- Sunnyvale, CA Long Term Contract Note- Candidate must relocate to Austin, TX and they can WFH.

• We need someone who can take full ownership of the RDBMS landscape (Oracle and Cassandra preferred, but not required), Spark + Kafka pipelines.
• We need someone who is capable of driving the development of DB / Spark requirements, from intake, to design, and on to delivery and testing.
• Will need experience directly working with business stakeholders on further refining and understand requirements, presenting designs, and troubleshooting issues during testing, as well as in production. Should be comfortable building and maintaining relationships with business. As a DB/App lead, this person must also be confident and comfortable giving direction, delegation and setting expectations with our other team members.
• For offshore team management, this role will be expected to clearly communicate requirements to off shore team members, and then manage the design and development and testing of these requirements through delivery.

• Assist in design and development of all Oracle DB work and Spark integrations
• Configuration and Development, code unit testing, archiving, establishing baseline performance, performance tuning, Technical review, Integration Testing Prep and Cutover
• Design review documentation
• Design playback slides
• Support planning and execution of regular services maintenance activities (CRs, patching, etc.) Documentation on new and updated code
• Support testing and QA as needed for any and all services work
• Maintain and keep Radars up to date and accurate on project agile board
