Job SummaryThis position is responsible for leading construction coordination in Corporate Owned Areas, supporting design and construction in Area Owned Areas. The incumbent assists in developing/maintaining design and construction documents, internal business practices and network processes/procedures. This position analyzes and responds to customer requests, resolves issues, conducts research, prepares reports, and identifies account penetration opportunities. The incumbent advises on customer setups, provides service failure recovery management and keeps customers informed of new products, service enhancements, shipment/order entry changes, product-specific issues and missed metrics. This role collaborates with other business functions to resolve and escalate service failures, creating corrective action and recommending process improvements. This position also determines root causes of problems to ensure resolution and decrease reoccurrences.ResponsibilitiesCreates center project in website/application and ensures all required documents are submitted
Initiates projects with designer
Oversees activities, resources, scheduling, and information for Corporate Owned Projects
Liaises with clients to identify and define requirements, scope, and objectives
Maintains project activities into doable actions and sets timeframes
Assigns tasks to field support teams and assists with schedule management
Monitors and adjusts project timelines and SOW to ensure clients’ needs are met as projects evolve
Responds to questions/comments from the field or vendor regarding building standards, specifications and permits to ensure UPS guidelines are upheld
Ensures center builds meet standards in Corporate and Area Owned Areas
Collects expenses for construction costs, vanilla shell preparation, general contractor costs, materials, etc.
Processes invoices for vendors, ensures timely payment per contract terms and internal business practices
Reviews changes to design/construction process, updates resources and communicates change to stakeholders
Collaborates with colleagues to develop/update documents that support The UPS Store standards and specifications
Identifies challenges/issues and provides solutions to management
Assists with tasks/deliverables for the design and construction team, operations department or company
PreferencesDemonstrates an understanding of products, services, industry and customer solutions offered by UPS along with their features and business applications; describes general customer profiles targeted by the company
Generates reports in an appropriate format using basic software; reviews reports to ensure accuracy and completeness; identifies issues with report generation (e.g., missing variables, incorrect data, etc.)
Recognizes when customers are having issues; identifies resolution to basic customer issues and recommends solutions
Understands supply chain concepts; identifies issues within a supply chain
Bachelor’s Degree (or internationally comparable degree)
