Designer - WEB - UI/UX, Prototyping, Sketch, Figma, InVision, Angular, Material UI

Job Description: As Senior Design Technologist, you will work across a spectrum of design and engineering tools and systems. Design Technology is the bridge between design and engineering that can help discern and solve problems with an understanding from both design and front-end engineering disciplines. You'll work closely with product management, design, engineering, and executive leadership. Ideal candidates are self-starters who bring original ideas and fresh approaches to each project they work on.

Essential Functions:
Translate visual and interaction design into working web components for our design system
Actively participate in concept development and design ideation
Oversee and manage out design system, encompassing overarching documentation and guidelines, a design library, and front-end component library.
Build out accessibility-compliant, production-ready components.
Write design and technical documentation to communicate how a design token, UI element, and component behaves, functions, and provide contexts for its use.
Help designers navigate technical scenarios and limitations and provide feedback for their design solutions in regards to their technical feasibility.
Produce high-fidelity code prototypes for user research and internal demos.
Evangelize for design systems and communicate how the business, product, designers, and engineers can benefit from investing in a design system.

Skills:
6+ years of experience as a front-end developer, engineer or UX prototyper
Proficiency with modern front-end web languages; HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, JavaScript including responsive design techniques
Experienced with Angular and Material UI
Fluency with mockup and prototyping tools such as Sketch, lnVision, Figma, or equivalent
Fluency in best practices for web-based information architecture and interaction design, user-centered design process, as well as a fundamental knowledge of user experience principles and techniques
Portfolio of work samples demonstrating breadth and depth in implementing design into front-end code
Be resourceful and creative to overcome obstacles and turn challenges into opportunities
Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate a bias for action in a fast paced, often ambiguous environment
Experience in UX performance optimization using qualitative and quantitative assessments

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.
Proficiency with After Effects, InVision Studio, or similar motion graphic software to showcase end-to-end IxD concepts.
Exceptional problem-solving abilities, clear communication skills, and solid design instincts who can translate their designs into engineering-focused solutions.
