Fantastic long term opportunity for a Designer/Drafter to join a leading manufacturer in San Diego.The candidate’s primary responsibility will be to prepare facility layouts, develop as-built drawings of existing facilities, and produce layouts to support equipment moves & production area expansion.Must have working knowledge of AutoCAD.Experience using AutoCAD to work on shop floor layouts, single line diagrams that includes infrastructure-water lines and electrical lines.Will be required to update CAD library.Experience using AutoCAD and knowledge of standard architectural and mechanical drafting principals a must.Work performed will include preparing design layouts of manufacturing areas that are undergoing change & modernizations. This work will include importing AutoCAD drawings of machinery from outside suppliers and incorporating into factory layouts to present to internal customers.Volt is an equal opportunity employer.
